OldSteamships.blog explores ocean liners, riverboats, Great Lakes freighters, maritime mysteries, and the people whose lives were connected to them. The site focuses on the stories behind the ships rather than just the technical details.
A love for older ships is how this blog came to be. It’s still a work in progress. My name is Max and I run a pop culture site called powerpop.blog and the Titanic crosses both genres in maritime and pop culture but most of the ships do not. That is why this site was created. There are many more ships, stories, and shipwrecks to go over that would not fit there.
