I couldn’t really do this one my regular blog of pop culture, so I decided to have a blog on old steamships. Other ships are welcomed as well! I will soon have my first post…just wanted to get this blog established.

Welcome Aboard Obbverse…grab a life vest and keep eyeing the lifeboats! I was thinking (that’s ‘dangerous) …I can get by with posting the Titanic on my site because it’s the Titanic…but I don’t think a lot of them will want to know why I think the Olympic was a great ship. So…I thought…I would repost some of these from my site to let the few people who like this know I’m here…
Of course I want to cover more than steam ships…I might publish the Wahine Disaster here and just repost it there. Thats my plan…thanks for coming over to have a look around.
It’s a good idea, more specialised, more niche. Maybe you’ll get a different audience too, not that (i assume) you’ll be aiming for ten thousand followers?!
NO…I’ll be lucky to get a 10-15 obbverse. There is a fairly good section out there though. I’ve noticed the steam ships channels on youtube…some have 100,000 to almost a million followers…but finding them is the fun part. But it gives me a release…that’s the important thing. It gives me a place to write about another love.
Some ships like Titanic, Edmund Fitzgerald, and Lusitania… I can advertise from my main blog, and it fits both places.

I thought Dave…ah I might as well do it. Like I told Obbverse…I can advertise it a little on my blog…I wrote a post on a New Zealand tragedy…the Wahine Disaster…what I’ll probably do is post it on here and reblog it on mine. I won’t be able to do that alot…but at least this is an outlet for my passion…regardless of how many people read.
